Jim Bye left an indelible imprint on the Cordillera Foundation, having served as its first president. Throughout his life, he cared deeply about the relationship among Canada, the United States, and Mexico, and inspired many others throughout North America to do so, as well.
Mr. Bye graduated from Harvard Law School in 1956 and joined the law firm of Holme Roberts & Owen in Denver, Colorado, in 1958. For almost fifty years until his death in 2007, he focused on the practice of tax, natural resources, and business planning, and in many ways became the personification of the firm’s strength, quality, and community-service orientation.
