Junto Con los Niños or JUCONI was founded in 1989 in Puebla, Mexico. Today, it serves some 350 children and 150 parents each year, providing sustainable solutions for marginalized families who are affected by family and social violence. In particular, JUCONI supports intense and long-term therapeutic and educational services for street-involved children, ensures that children's basic needs for security, shelter and nutrition are fulfilled, and offers entire families a helping hand to becoming whole, healthy and functional. To achieve greater impact in Mexico and Latin America, JUCONI has also become a teaching institution, developing and sharing therapeutic methodologies to organizations throughout the Americas in order to promote sustainable integration for street and socially excluded children and their families.
In support of the vital work which JUCONI undertakes in Puebla, the Cordillera Foundation provides scholarships for high school students attending technical-oriented private schools. Currently, JUCONI clients are utilizing those funds to study auto mechanics, computer science, and gastronomy, among other educational disciplines.
